The Internet (Internet) is a word to point at a computer network connected using Internet Protocol technology mutually. U.S.A. of the origin is the network where I connected plural computer networks to mutually in the wide sense (an internet) in the English zone. In the narrow sense (The Internet, The Net), it is the name of a network connected mutually widely particularly on a global scale among the Internet of the wide sense. For the one and only, it is treated as a proper noun for the present. When I refer it to the Internet (Internet) as a common name in Japan, I become the meaning of the narrow sense (The Internet, The Net). I belong to the Internet (an internet) of the wide sense with Internet 2 (Internet2) for the moment. U.S.A. adopted Internet 2 as a standard protocol and came to generally spread again globally. Used various technology and management systems generally have many things shown generally by historic process in the Internet. When I put it on the Internet, there is not the authorized responsibility subject whom it centered on. I do not manage the whole as one organization / network, and it is it with the principle that a connected organization manages each network. Even if there is the virtual management subject (ICANN, IETF), it is it to principle saying that it is entrusted with as the general will of a connected organization / network (it is said that I am neutral globally, and there is the management by the international organization partly again). It is similar in the development of the Internet Protocol, and it is realized by RFC (Request for Comments). But ICANN is affiliated with the non profit organization U.S.A. Department of Commerce and becomes the diplomatic problem. There was much exchange of the email NetNews at the intervals such as a research organization / a university by the UUCP or some companies, and, in the times when Internet connection was difficult, it was watched. Connection service to the Internet comes to be offered with the mobile telephone for the same period and generalizes the Internet connection with the mobile telephone. However, various measures are performed in applications level without problems such as the infection of the computer virus or the unjust access cutting off the back because structure about the security is not incorporated in a protocol of the current Internet. For example, as for the Internet Protocol, the thing which I applied an Internet Protocol and neighboring technology to in LAN (LAN) environment of a company is called intranet not a protocol used for only the Internet (The Internet) of the narrow sense.
